Response from Heather Harmston on 8/30/2021

After reading this review I think it's only fair and reasonable to indicate what actually happened with Omar and his property. Omar was a past client of mine that I assisted in searching for this multi unit. After a short time of owning it, he needed to relocate out of state where he could not longer monitor the progress of the rehab being done. Omar reached out to me and stated he wanted to see about selling as he was in a bind. I did my full analysis of the property with the current market and with any upgrades he had done on the property. After a few site visits I gave him a price and also let him know that there was still construction work pending on his property. He wanted to price the property almost $20,000 over my recommended price. Being a crazy market I let him know I was willing to price the property close to what he suggested however which a two week agreed upon trial period. I tried for a few weeks to keep Omar in the loop as the work was not completed on his property. He stated it was complete on multiple occasions so I drove to the property across town to verify that it was ready for cleaning and photos. 3 separate occasions he was getting fraudulent information from his incompetent contractors. He complained constantly about them and I offered to help get a crew out there to actually finish the work. On the 3rd attempt to get photos taken he stated just get the photos taken we need to list. I advised against it but he was adamant. I hired a photographer and paid him $250 for photos of the property and to get it ready for market. After seeing the photos he said he wanted to add a few different photos because you could see the work hadn't been completed. I called the photographer back out a few days later to make the client happy. The home had already been put on the market but Omar wanted some additional photos to be added. The photographer went out for a second time at a charge of $100 dollars. Mind you the home had been listed for 3 days and Omar aggressively called about updates on showings multiple times a day. I continued to tell him we had one showing scheduled and the buyers didn't like the property at the list price it was at. Omar was not happy about that and blamed it on the photos. After 4 ACTIVE days on market Omar then called me to tell me "my friend who is an agent stated it should have sold by now and that I am not doing a good job as a Realtor and he can do better" and guess what happened, Omar all of a sudden wanted to use that same agent to list the property and break our agreement. I told Omar that I had just done what he asked and sent the photographer out a second time to take additional shots for him and that if he wanted those photos he would have to pay the photographer for that second round. Omar then took a turn and became condescending and degraded my status in my profession and stated " you're a multi million dollar producer and you can't afford to pay the photographer for the photos you hired him to take." The problem with Omar is he is selfish and was desperate to sell his property and turned away from any advice i gave him because because he doesn't listen. I'm not in the business of taking disrespect from anyone let alone a past client who doesn't respect peoples hard work, time invested and support. He also made sure I knew the poor review he was going to leave me because I asked him to pay the second time for the photos since he was no longer going to be using me as a listing agent. The other Realtor violated a code of ethics by poaching an active client from me which is unfortunate but my real concern is Omar and his selfish ways. To my understanding it was re listed at a lower price and still hasn't sold.
