On Zillow Rental, people apply to multiple places, some even apply without seeing the place. It is hard to tell if someone is seriously interested. In addition, if I approve an applicant, there is no guarantee that this person will make a deposit to rent. I was in such a situation where another applicant I approved never made the deposit. Do I wait indefinitely? I have no choice but to approve a second applicant. A few days went by, and this second applicant still has not made the deposit. I had no choice but to approve a 3rd applicant, not knowing if the 2nd applicant would ever come back. It was unfortunate that the next day the 2nd applicant finally made the deposit, so I had to tell the 3nd applicant I'm sorry. I even offered the 3rd applicant a free night stay at my Airbnb, as a token of appreciation. I'm very sincere and honest about what I do. This event was unfortunate, and we are all trying our best to work with the Zillow Rental system, which is not perfect but an effective tool in many ways.
