Growing up in the projects drove me to where I am today. I knew I did not want that to be MY life. I was intentional in breaking the generational curse that tried to take hold of me and my siblings through my Mother's decisions. She was young, so I do not fought her for accepting refuge for she and her children after my Dad took off on her, and left his 27 year old wife to raise SEVEN children alone.
