Hey! We’re inviting a small group of people currently working on vision & deep learning problems to meet each other and exchange ideas. We’ll have two, 30 minute talks and plenty of time to chat.
We’ll be meeting at Zillow Tower from 6 – 8 pm on March 13.
Know someone who’s working on Vision or Deep Learning problems that we should invite? Email us at deepmeetup@zillowgroup.com.
Food and drinks will be provided!
Mohammad Moghimi (Zillow) – Deep Learning on Real Estate listing images
Mohammad will give an overview of how we use Convolutional Neural Networks to improve the accuracy of the Zestimate. (WSJ)
Mohammad Moghimi is a Senior Data Scientist at Zillow Inc where he is working on a variety of Computer Vision and Machine Learning related projects in real estate space. He joined Zillow after a Ph.D. program in Computer Science at Cornell University where he invented Computer Vision algorithms to analyze images for different applications including first-person life-logging image sequences for public health. Mohammad had a passion for Artificial Intelligence since he was a child and has been learning and advancing the AI technology since then.
Martin Gorner (Google) – Batch Normalization
Martin is passionate about science, technology, coding, algorithms and everything in between. He graduated from Mines Paris Tech with a major in computer vision, enjoyed his first engineering years in the computer architecture group of ST Microlectronics and then spent the next 11 years shaping the nascent eBook market, starting with the Mobipocket startup, which later became the software part of the Amazon Kindle and its mobile variants.
