I'm not sure how to get started, or I'm not sure I'm doing it right.

Here are a few tips before you start capturing a Zillow 3D Home tour:

  • Turn on all lights, including recessed ceiling lights, floor lamps and desk lamps.
  • Turn off all fans, TVs and any other moving objects.
  • Open all window blinds and curtains to bring in as much natural light as possible.
  • Plan your route through the home.
  • Open all the doors between rooms you intended to capture.
  • Put away any documents/materials that contain personal information.
  • Remove clutter and personal items, and put them in a closet or storage space you aren’t planning to capture.
  • Wipe down your camera lens.
  • Fully charge your phone and/or 360-degree camera.
  • Update your 360-degree camera to the latest firmware (if applicable).
  • Start your tour from outside the front door or in the front yard/curbside.

Are there any monthly fees for using Zillow 3D Home?

You can include a Zillow 3D Home tour on your listing for free — there are no per-home, service or hosting fees. If you choose to capture your tour with a 360 camera instead of a phone, you may purchase one directly from the manufacturer or through a third-party retailer.

Who can use Zillow 3D Home?

I’m a property manager. Can I add a Zillow 3D Home tour to my rental listing?

What gear do I need to capture a Zillow 3D Home tour?

For mobile phone capture, we suggest using a tripod, rotating head, phone mount and external battery supply for your phone. For the Ricoh Theta V, Theta Z1 51GB, Theta Z1, Theta SC2, Theta SC2 Business, Theta X, and Insta360 ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition, X4, X3, and X2 cameras, you will need a tripod or monopod.

How should I prepare a home before capturing a Zillow 3D Home tour?

Before you start capturing a Zillow 3D Home tour, make sure you have appropriate lighting, flow and a clean space. Here are a few tips:
