We have a private English basement apartment in our sunny group house in Park View/Columbia Heights available now! The move-in date is flexible - ideally, November 1st. The lease is for one year. No couples or pets, please. Overall, we are looking for a considerate roommate who will appreciate the house as much as we do! Must be queer friendly. The Apartment: The apartment is $1,200/month plus utilities. Utilities (which include a $32/person cleaning service) are about $130/month per person. We have a parking space ($50/month to reserve, or first-come first-serve). The apartment gets plenty of natural sunlight and has a private washer/dryer, private bathroom, and separate entrance. The basement comes with a microwave, mini-fridge, 2 dressers, a desk, a queen bed, wardrobes, and storage space. It's a large space that is perfect for working from home! The basement apartment locks for extra privacy as well. The House: The house has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a front porch and backyard. All four of us share the first floor (kitchen, living room, dining room) and the outdoor areas. The kitchen is updated and has plenty of counter space and a dishwasher. We keep our shared spaces very clean. The house has central AC/heating. Sadly, pets are not allowed. The Neighborhood: We're a 5 minute walk from the Petworth metro (yellow/green) and a 10 minute walk to the Columbia Heights metro, and close to several bus lines. We live a short walk from CVS, Giant, Safeway, Target, Call Your Mother, farmers markets, parks, bars, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. About us: We're a group of 3 young professionals in our mid-twenties. We're very communicative, creative, clean, and laid-back. We all take COVID precautions seriously. No pets, please.
