The formal dining room presents a second fireplace, custom integrated shelving, and a wall of purposeful storage. These are not incidental details. They are the considered decisions of a builder working without compromise. The kitchen and keeping room have been renovated to the standard the discerning buyer requires: Sub-Zero refrigeration, Viking professional appliances, a curated dry bar. The renovation respects the architecture rather than overriding it. The primary suite occupies its own commanding position, attended by dual private bathrooms and a private deck overlooking the estate grounds below. It is signed in his hand: Dwight D. Eisenhower. That letter conveys in Eisenhower's own words the regard he held for this house, its owner, and this city. The lower-level suite is fully self-contained: private living area, kitchenette, bedroom, and full bathroom — designed then as now to receive guests of consequence. Properties of this authenticated provenance do not re-enter the market on any predictable schedule. The intersection of irreplaceable original materials, documented Presidential association, a position within a National Military Park, and five private acres represents a legacy holding by any serious measure.
