Soccer’s biggest tournament is kicking off all over the country — from Seattle to NYC and lots of cities in between. As fans flock to the 11 host cities, we wanted to see what it actually costs to call those places home. We compared rental prices across each destination to find out how far your money would go, and whether one of these tournament cities could be your perfect match.

The most affordable host cities

A city is generally considered affordable if you spend 30% or less of your income on rent. If you wanted to live where the action is without stretching your budget, here are your options, according to the April 2026 Zillow Observed Rent Index:

The premium markets

Some cities come with a premium for their big-city energy and sought-after locations. These host cities currently sit above the 30% affordability threshold:

  • New York, NY: $3,406 typical rent (38.7% of income)
  • Miami, FL: $2,683 typical rent (37.6% of income)
  • Los Angeles, CA: $2,892 typical rent (33.8% of income)
  • Boston, MA: $3,184 typical rent (30.4% of income)
