Wow! I am so excited to share my recap of the “We All Sit” brunch, a private event held in a sunlit Southern California venue uniting women leaders in real estate, sales and marketing from across the region.

This brunch was not just a gathering but a testament to mindful community building, made possible through a partnership with the ENVSN foundation, an organization created with the mission to empower women and shape a vibrant community for Gen Z and Gen Alpha women.

Building community through shared stories

As Co-Chair of our Women’s Impact Network at Zillow, I have had the privilege of witnessing the company’s commitment to creating spaces for meaningful dialogue that inspire women working to achieve their full potential. The brunch highlighted diverse, ambitious voices and offered a moment to reflect on the importance of nurturing conversations that uplift women.

One of the most memorable moments during the brunch was when we went around the room sharing our responses to a simple yet profound question: “What does home mean to you?”

The responses provided a heartfelt variety of perspectives, portraying home as more than just a physical space. Many shared how home represented financial freedom, stability and a sanctuary where families reunite after time spent in the world.

Spotlighting career opportunities for women in real estate tech

As I listened to the stories of successful business women, it was a joy for me to turn the lights on around the diverse range of Zillow’s career opportunities. I informed the group that Zillow is more than a handful of engineers building the well known Zestimate. From sales associates to project managers and marketers, Zillow provides a multitude of pathways for individuals to thrive and contribute to our mission of helping more people find their way home. This was a shock to the women, some of whom wrapped up the event by inquiring what opportunities could be available for them in Zillow’s Cloud HQ.

The “We All Sit” brunch was a reminder of the impact we can make when we come together, share our experiences and support each other in achieving common goals. I hope attendees left with a sense of empowerment and a newfound connection to Zillow's mission — as I certainly did!

May this gathering serve as a model for future collaborations and opportunities to work with Zillow towards the goal of helping more people get home.
