It’s important to clarify the facts of this transaction. You were not my client, and as the buyers’ agent, my responsibility was to protect my clients’ best interests. My clients—first-time homebuyers and active-duty military—were excited about their new home, but unfortunately, this transaction was marred by your actions (the seller). After escrow closed, you breached the contract by refusing to allow the new owners access to their new home. Despite multiple attempts between agents to arrange a time for my clients to enter the home to quickly take measurements, no resolution was reached. My clients then attempted to resolve the situation by speaking with you in person, hoping that a direct conversation would lead to understanding. Unfortunately, you escalated matters by threatening to call the police on my buyers for stepping onto the property (which, in fact, was now their home). This unpredictable and aggressive behavior not only violated the terms of the contract but also caused unnecessary distress, leaving my clients fearful they would never be able to move into their new home. As a result of your breach of contract and unprofessional conduct, I needed to involve attorneys in order to protect my clients’ rights and ensure that the matter was resolved appropriately. Even your own agent expressed regret for the situation, admitting that she had never encountered a seller acting in such an aggressive and unreasonable manner. This experience, unfortunately, tarnished what should have been one of the most exciting milestones for my clients.
