Alexandra Mann-Talmage was born and raised in New York. In the 1930s her grandparents bought a summer home on Further Lane, East Hampton, on the double dunes surrounded by potato fields. In that summer retreat her family and friends enjoyed weekend horseback rides in the fields off Further Lane.
