Local knowledgeProcess expertiseResponsivenessNegotiation skillsWorking with DeLisa Locke as the selling agent was hands-down one of the worst real estate experiences imaginable. She’s rude, aggressive, completely unprofessional, and treats negotiation like a screaming match. Fairness? Not in her vocabulary. And ...Response from DELISA LOCKE on 7/7/2025
While I typically do not engage with misleading or inaccurate reviews, it’s important to clarify the facts of this transaction. In this case, the buyers attempted to terminate the contract just six days before closing — well past their due diligence period. As the listing agent representing the sellers, it was my duty to protect my clients’ interests and uphold the terms of the contract they had rightfully signed. Real estate transactions involve legally binding agreements. When you sign a contract, you are making a commitment to follow through with a specific purchase, and there are legal consequences for breaching it. My role is to ensure my clients understand their rights and to advocate for them firmly when needed. In this situation, after reviewing the contract and explaining their options, my clients chose to enforce their rights and proceed to closing. Ultimately, the transaction closed successfully because my clients stood firm — and because I remained committed to representing their best interests. It’s important to clarify that this review did not come from the party I represented. I never had any direct contact with the buyers themselves, so I am unclear as to why such commentary was allowed. It appears the party relaying this information is speaking from a place of frustration over the outcome of the transaction. While I can understand disappointment, any agent speaking negatively about another agent is violating the National Association of Realtors® Code of Ethics. As professionals, we have an obligation to uphold integrity and respect in all of our communications — especially when a transaction does not go as one side had hoped. I encourage anyone considering working with me to read the many positive reviews from clients I have directly represented. Those reviews reflect my dedication to professionalism, strong advocacy, and guiding my clients to successful closings — even in challenging circumstances.
