Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $775K in Parkside, San Francisco, CA.
We had some particular concern regarding to credits and mortgages which may hinder our chance of buying a property. Before we met Dave, we had interviewed several other agents. They all either turned us away or simply did not contact us further after the initial meeting. One of those agents even told us that because of the complication on our loans, we should not consider buying if we do not have the ability to pay all cash for the transaction. We were so discouraged by those practices till we were referred to Dave.
Working with Dave was such a pleasure. When we started, he took the time to hear us out, addressed our concerns and suggested to us that we should keep looking at houses while working out the loan issues. Because we live 2 hours away from the bay, it is quite a commute to see houses in and around the City. Dave was so accommodating that he always tried his best to group all openings/tours and block out trunks of time for us in the same day to make every tour worth our gas/time/energy.
We met some other agents with high pressure sales tactics before, so going into this purchase, my husband and I would hate to be pressured into anything. Given the ridiculously crazy market in the City, it is almost a dream that you would find an agent who cares you more than making the sales. Fortunately for us, we encountered NO SALES PITCH from Dave, zero! He did not talk us into anything. After we toured the properties, he only spoke about the pros and cons about the houses as he took his agent visual alongside us. He actually cooled us down a couple times when we got overly impressed by the cosmetic fixes some properties have done and pointed us to the hidden problems that we blind sighted ourselves with. Dave always tells us that his job is not to sell us the house; the house itself would do that. We learned so much about houses in those tours with Dave!
Buying a house is not doubt a highly stressful and daunting process. Dave answered our millions of questions and took the time to make sure we understood what was going on throughout the process. It certainly helped us big time that Dave was very on top of things and was very responsive. Most of the time we had almost instant response from Dave after we either texted him or emailed him. And not once we hit his voice message box (can you imagine that?? In a 2-month house hunting period, NOT ONCE!). Sometimes he will let you know that he needs to give you a call back later, but he ALWAYS picks up the phone instead of just ignoring your call.
Foreseeability is another thing that we deeply appreciate Dave for. He knows the process so well and guides us to walk the right path in the right pace. We know exactly when to rush things up and when to take a breath.
Dave's negotiation skills are top-notch. He has a way to get what we want for us and he does NOT come across forceful in negotiation with the other party. He also knows almost everyone in the realtor community in the City and around the bay and his good relationship with the other realtors greatly benefited his customers, such as…us!
We were able to get credit back on most of the closing costs and also a lower purchase price than the offer. We could not be happier to have found a house in our dream neighborhood with a reasonable purchase price.
If you are looking for an agent who listens, who thinks for you, who cares, who solves problems and who is patient, knowledgeable and considerate, you came to the right place and met the right one - Dave Tapper. HE IS GOLD!
Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $1.0M in Pacifica, CA.
Very easy going realtor to work with. We were interested in buying a home, but did not have a drop dead date for completing the purchase. We did not feel pressured at all when work working with Dave. He was very honest about the homes that we viewed. It took a bit of time, but he found a home that fit 90% of our needs/desires. Not only did he find the home, but managed for us to place a bid with the owner prior to the home going up for sale. We did not have to compete with other buyer. Very advantageous for us and quite savvy of Dave. We would definitely use Dave again!

Dave helped us secure our first home in a tough market in the Bay Area. Dave helped us stay positive throughout the whole process and his contacts and knowledge of the area were invaluable. I can honestly say I don't think we would have closed on the Home if Dave had not helped. Dave has also helped us after the close in finding gardeners locksmiths etc. I highly recommended Dave Tapper for any home sale or purchase.
Sold a Condo home in 2014 for approximately $700K in Daly City, CA.
Dave Tapper is the "James Brown of Real Estate", the hardest working man in the business!! He lives and breathes real estate 7 days a week, and will go the extra mile to find you a home and/or sell your home. No matter what time of day or night I contacted him, he was ALWAYS available or got back to me very quickly. I am a fussy perfectionist and its not easy to meet my expectations much less exceed them, and Dave exceeded mine! He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, honest and is a tireless worker who is like the Energizer Bunny---he just won't stop going until the job is done. I would not hesitate to use him again and highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to purchase or sell a home.
We worked with Dave over the course of two years. We were lucky to meet him at an open house. We looked for single family homes and he was always quick to respond and have our best interests in mind. He wanted to make sure our purchase was a great fit and his integrity was always evident. Finally, when we purchased a new construction condo Dave was there every step of the process.
When there were challenges he intervened. During negotiations he helped us get 33% more incentives than any other buyer ever had.
I recommend Dave with the highest regard. He looks out and truly cares about his clients. He is one of a kind in his profession. That is why he is a Presidential Elite agent for Coldell Burlingame.

Dave has earned my highest recommendation for helping me and my wife find and close a deal on a perfect home. Honest, dependable, positive, straight forward, the list goes on. We screened a good number of reputable realtors. We did our homework. Most of them did pass the checklist but Dave connected with us on a personal level. Professional and funny, offered no false promises, gave us realistic expectations, shared a pool of knowledge and most importantly, exemplified good positive energy throughout the process. Anybody in the home buying business is either wanting to earn more or save more. Finding the median is the challenge. It took us a while to find Dave but knowing what we know now, I can say we're happy that we did.

As a recent client, I can highly recommend David Tapper without reservation. As a single female first-time buyer, I was concerned about being taken advantage of by an unscrupulous real estate agent. Dave proved himself to be a trustworthy advocate who listened to what I wanted and what my concerns were. He even negotiated a lower price for my new home, even though it meant a lower comission for him. He is truly a professional and a good person.
Professionally he is both well-liked and respected by other real estate agents. This is definitely an advantage when it comes to negotiating a price on a new home. His reputation speaks volumes about his integrity and dedication. You will not regret chosing Dave to represent you.

Dave Tapper was an *outstanding* real estate professional to work with. We interviewed several agents before deciding to work with him, and it was a great decision. His knowledge of local markets was fantastic, but what truly set him apart from agents that we have worked with in the past was (1) his work ethic and responsiveness, (2) his ability to establish strong working relationships with fellow agents and others in the industry, and (3) his negotiation skills.
Dave's work ethic and responsiveness are unparalleled. He worked within our schedule constraints to show us properties. There were times when we wouldn't have the flexibility to view properties at our leisure and needed to see many in one day, and he would arrange his schedule to accommodate a marathon viewing session. We would often receive responses to emails or calls within minutes. If he wasn't available, he would email or text to let us know when he would be able to connect. We always felt that we could reach him, which was very important for success in this fast-paced market!
Dave was very strong at establishing relationships with fellow agents and other service providers in the industry such as property inspectors or contractors. When we were doing diligence on various properties throughout the bidding process, he got expert advice from others on property-related questions such as issues that came up during inspections, pest concerns, potential for expansion, and more - all of which helped us become more educated homebuyers. He also got market intel from other agents to help level-set our expectations on the properties and our bids. We learned a great deal from Dave and appreciated his ability to leverage his network.
In addition to his great process, Dave is a highly skilled negotiator. One of us has previously worked in contract negotiations and with this background, we observed the keen skills that Dave possesses in this realm. He exercises the flexibility and creativity required to understand client needs, understands how to set terms and conditions that meet these needs, and then deliver to close the deal. We were able to purchase a home in a lovely community with outstanding schools, better than what we expected with our budget. This was due in no small part to Dave's negotiation skills.
Lastly, Dave was not only an incredible professional, he was a pleasure to interact with - his positive demeanor and sense of humor made it easy on the worst and best of days. We would not hesitate to work with him again, and *highly* recommend Dave Tapper as a real estate professional!!

Dave is an awesome guy to work with. Not only is he professional and ethical, he's an all around nice guy and he will truly be your advocate. I spent the last six months searching for the right place on the peninsula and he was patient and helpful through the whole process. I just closed on a great house in San Mateo and I couldn't be happier!
