Jason selected a short sale property to purchase & difficulties of purchasing a short sale were explained. Jason was not passed off to anyone -on the contrary he was advised he would be working with my agent Gloria to locate a home. As the broker, I supervise every transaction. I become more invloved when difficulties arose in Jason's purchase & not due to any other reason. Towards the end of the short sale escrow, Jason demanded an additonal $3,000 credit to close from the agents or the seller. The demand was declined. I encouraged Jason to do what he thought was in his best interest & never pressured Jason to close the escrow. I advised cancellation was an option if he did not think the price & concessions already in the sale were adequate. Eventually Jason elected to close without any further monetary concessions. The seller's agent & I had worked together, there were never any threats & ended with a mutual appreciation in closing a difficult transaction.
